PROJECT X 0.67 INSTRUCTIONS 2

Framework assembly

To keep the keelson perfectly straight and upright during assembly, make a jig as shown. The triangular supports are shaped and positioned to allow some upper planking to be added while the framework is still in the jig.

Glue all the formers to the keelson, checking frequently that they are perfectly aligned in all planes.

Cut and fit 4mm ply infill panels between the prow and F1, and between F2 and F3. These will support the edges of the foredeck later.

Cut and fit 4mm ply infill panels behind F11. These will support the curved join between the small rear deck and the sloping hull behind it.

Cut and fit 4mm ply lower chines into the slots you made for them in F10-13.
